From “The Comfort of My Chair” is a wonderful and stirring testimony of a young woman who is totally in love and committed to Jesus Christ. Reverend Stacey Cormier ministers to multiple persons and families. Her intuitive insight is marked by her love and compassion. It is hard to complain when you see the glow of God’s love in her life. Stacey discovered Christ in a very personal way in her midtwenties. Her conversion was both dynamic and inspiring. Immediately, Stacey made a total commitment to Christ. Coming to Christ was the beginning of her great adventure in faith. God’s grace transformed her life and empowered her spiritual growth and development. Today, Pastor Stacey, as she is known, ministers to those who hurt, need direction, and above all, conversion to Christ. You might wonder concerning the book title, “From the Comfort of My Chair”? Soon after her commitment to Christ, Stacey began having a series of physiological malfunctions. Medically, there appeared to be no logical explanation for her physical condition.
Tests came back negative, and the medical staff was mystified. Finally, after multiple tests, her diagnosis was Primary Progressive Lateral Scleroses (a rare form of Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Upon hearing this diagnosis, Pastor Stacey replied, “At least it’s not in my mind.” Facing the future in faith, she chose to be better rather than bitter. Faith and fortitude are her markers. This is the reason this compellation of devotionals is so beneficial to guide us in our life journey.
“From the Comfort of My Chair” (her permanent electric wheelchair) will inspire and motivate you to pursue a deeper personal walk with Jesus. Let me encourage you to enter into the realm of the eternal as you daily read and meditate on the promises of God “From the Comfort of Your Chair!”
