Twenty years ago, tragedy struck not only the Everest family but the Kelly family as well, when Victoria’s husband and son were killed in a horrific car accident on their way back from a business trip to purchase equipment for their ranch.
David Kelly hit them after losing control on a treacherous icy highway, killing Victoria’s husband and son instantly. David, who survived the accident, stayed in intensive care for many months and to this day, he has had limited movement in his left leg and arm due to the accident.
Victoria, Rosemary, and Hope Everest are all loving, independent, headstrong, intelligent women, but it’s Victoria Everest or Grams, as she enjoys being called, who keeps her family together through her love for her family and her extraordinary faith in
God.
David Kelly has never forgotten the accident or what he did. He’s still ashamed and asks God each day that he blesses the Everest women. He has never told his son Peter that he killed two people on that horrible night.
