Daniel and Kathy Bernard

Daniel & Kathy Bernard have pastored in the States and raised up church planters and a mission work in Nigeria, especially among the unreached Ijaw people. In 1997, the Bernards established a non-profit, Somebody Cares Tampa Bay (SCTB). Through SCTB, they have mobilized and unified church leaders and their people to demonstrate God’s love in a practical way throughout the greater Tampa Bay area and beyond. Evangelism and discipleship are their heartbeat!

The Bernards are also Executive Producers of the movie, The Favorite.  The movie is inspired by true events that happened to their son, Luke.  In 2013, Luke was in a near fatal car accident.  God miraculously restored Luke.  After the accident, Luke had a dream which he wrote down.  That dream became a book and eventually a movie.  The movie has won numerous awards and has been translated into Spanish.  Now the movie is being seen internationally.  Kathy wrote a blog about the experience during the time of Luke’s recovery which became a book, Journey Through the Valley.
